Wondering what case should fit my Surface laptop ?

Hello everybody,

 

I’m hesitating about the size of the case I should get for my surface laptop (1st gen) :

Here are the dimensions :

—10.6 11″ 11.6″ 12″ inside size: 312×225×27mm (1st model)

—12.5″12.6″13″13.3″inside size: 340×256×27mm (2nd model)

—13.6″14″14.1″14.4″inside size: 380×275×27mm (3rd model)

—16.3 16.4 17″ 17.4 inside size:410×310×27mm (4th model)

I’m hesitating because the surface laptop dimensions are 308.1 x 203.2 x 14.5 mm and it’s a 13,5″ but the 1st model (up to 12″) show internal sizes of 312×225×27mm … I don’t understand … Will the 2nd model be too big to fit it ?

Hi Marc,

I think the first model (10.6 11″ 11.6″ 12″ inside size: 312×225×27mm) will fit your Surface Laptop. There is a reason that the seller listed only the maximum of 12″ because most laptops have a large screen bezel and using 16:9 aspect ratio different from Surface Laptop which has a smaller bezel with 3:2 aspect ratio.

However, I think you should confirm with the seller so you can return it if it’s not fit.
